Shephard
a shephard keeps his sheep safe because he wants the wool, milk and (eventually) the meat of the sheep (by slaughtering them...).
Jesus Christ is the shephard of Man.
oh God...
Who am I? What am I? Where am I? Where am I headed to? I really don't know. RNFI. Really No F**king Idea. A cynic, an idealist, a person with ideas, but NATO. Am I? I really don't know. RNFI. Really No F**king Idea.

Hey RC,
just thought I'd drop by. Finally caught up with all your recent postings - as you can imagine, have a whole load of work back-logged since my little hiatus in Viva Las Vegas.
Was working out at the gym this morning, and lo and behold, Singapore makes it to CNN prime time morning with the whole death penalty saga. The last time we made the American news was during the meeting of the International Olympic Committee in July. Anyway, what's all this you're writing about humanity?
And I kinda agree with your view on the NS thing. Relinquishing your S'pore citizenship is certainly punishment enough - the Govt's actions smack of childish petulance. S'pore is such a control freak state, it's really stifling. Now that I'm out here, I am priviledged to see things through a very different perspective. My dad is in the civil service (Good bonus that will probably put me through Harvard so I can't exactly complain) and he tells me stories all the time. Oh well.
Anyways, do you ever hang out with chris? You should come out with us one of these days when I come back!

Actually, how and when did you know chris?????
Yeah she's always busy! Very popular girl. But I only come back once in a blue moon so I'm sure she'll make time!
Want anything from the states?
Duty-free alcohol? Banned cigarettes? Chewing gum (not the shitty type that the government actually permits)? Cigars? Harvard shirts?

Oh dear, has my agnostic comment brought out the anti-religious zealot in you again? Haha.
But its actually quite scary... if we look at the statement like you did.
10:53 AM
RC,
have u been agnostic/atheist all your life? Surely something must've happened to dispel any faith you might have once had or, you were just a skeptic at heart and it just happened naturally because the evidence couldn't convince you otherwise.
Like me, i'm a "fallen" christian. You probably hear the story all the time. Child goes to church because mummy says she has to, child grows up and sees that church is merely a weekly social gathering, child becomes teenager and churchmate's mothers gossip about her and compare grades, teenager begins reading books and questioning the validity of an ancient book and the logic of religion itself, formulates own opinions and becomes agnostic.
At least that's my story, sort of, not very eloquently put but I'm sure you recognize some universal themes.
So, what's your story?

i'm a buddhist and thus an atheist. i believe that everyone has the potential to reach enlightenment (which is nothing more than a state of life devoid of suffering and able to help others be free of their own suffering). also not very well put. will explain more if we meet up.
drop me a line la. my MSN is rench00@hotmail.com :)
